The ancient Hindu ritual of Raksha Bandhan recognizes and celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters. Through the years it has expanded to include not only immediate family members, but all those who are
important to the family. The festival affirms the crucial importance of family in the Hindu tradition and the openness that can result from including others who are not Hindu.

Our service will adapt this Hindu Ritual to include family and friends of S.T.A.R. Then, our celebration will continue with refreshments and sharing time together, after the service.
