All too often, we brush aside the marvelousness of the world. As well, sweeping away any acknowledgement of women and men of extraordinary human character. Fortunately, throughout recorded history there is recognition of those women and men, who have encountered the Divine to touch humanity in just the right way, finding a place in their cultures as saints.

Saints can be found in the Jewish, Islamic, Shinto, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, and Indigenous cultures throughout the world. And, while we can name many of the religious and historic saints, it is important to also identify saints of today. Those we find in our workplace, who might live next door or are members of our spiritual communities.

As part of our service, we will meet traditional saints, some well-known, others not so much. Then, we will share the names of those men and women we recognize as saints-in-our-lives. Those contemporaries whose extraordinary humanity, reflect their encounter with the Divine and have touched our very being in just the right way!
