Longing: a strong desire for something unattainable. Languishing: to become dispirited. Learning: to gain knowledge, understanding or skill by study or experience. This ‘Year of the Pandemic’ has forever changed our lives and our world.
During a time of seclusion, we have had a nearly overwhelming desire to resume normal ways of doing and being – and quickly! But that did not happen.
With everything being a long, drawn-out uncertainty, many were left extremely dispirited. The fear of contracting the virus, along with the loss of family members and friends, seemed to rage on and on, with an end nowhere in-sight.
So, we hunkered down and wondered not only what was next, but what possibly was there to gain from such a devastating situation?
