Cold Spaghetti at Midnight and Cold Pizza for Breakfast
Such a menu sounds strangely eccentric, doesn’t it? Unless of course, you’ve quenched a craving for an unusual food at an odd time or you thoroughly enjoy eating something out-of-the-ordinary at mealtime. Giving into such whims can be comforting, reviving, even healing, certainly tinged with a slight bit of humor in the weirdness!
We often remark that those who take themselves too seriously… those who cannot laugh, especially at themselves… have lost their sense of humor. When we do, our spirits become heavy and over-burdened, due to our preoccupation with the material world.
As part of our service, we will hear stories, quips, humorous thoughts and more, reminding us just how healthy it is to maintain our senses of humor. Keeping in mind the importance of our humble beginnings – the breathing of God’s divine spirit into our clay-shaped forms, bringing us to life. And in addition to the gift of life, humor is one of the best divinely given gifts given to us, humans, too!
