A service devoted to the longest night. By mid-November, stores, media, and advertising shift into high gear to convince us that Christmas is magical, full of joy and fulfillment –cares are banished. For many the Christmas season is cheer-filled. For those who have lost loved ones, those struggling with health or financial issues or those who find themselves overwhelmed by the commercialism of Christmas… this season of the year can be anything but cheer-filled.
This service offers a safe and sacred space for those not experiencing a very merry Christmas, as well as the Friends who support them… to come and gather at the manager. Not being forced to leave any of our burdens outside in-the-cold and not feeling shut-out or excluded, we will sit with one another in a special way that speaks to Divine love, light, and hope.
